@8577 That is equivalent to asking "how do you switch?" (edited)

let's say
8:33 PM
im taking an exam
8:33 PM
or in a class
8:33 PM
this is a really bad example
8:33 PM
but anyways
8:33 PM
you switch out
8:33 PM
does it feel like your not there?
Avatar
That doesn't seem like the smartest place to switch, but... no? You are still physically there. The body hasn't moved.
Avatar
No. Let's say you are behaving different in different contexts. You don't feel like you are not there. You are just thinking differently.
Avatar
If you switch, your tulpa is using the body and you are sitting in the back seat - in such a way that it would be far more difficult to simply go back to using the body without your tulpa also switching back as well.

so
8:34 PM
your phsycially there
8:35 PM
your mind isn't
8:35 PM
your in the wonderland
8:35 PM
how does it feel?
Avatar
That's not at all what either of us said. I'm starting to think that you are willfully misunderstanding.
Avatar
Your mind hasn't gone anywhere.
Avatar
Deleted User 4/10/2018 8:36 PM
No im just not understanding
Avatar
You're still physically there.
Avatar
Deleted User 4/10/2018 8:36 PM
Yes
8:36 PM
so you're body is there
Avatar
not sure if this is going to help any, since i don't know what if what i do is considered switching or possession, but i relax and slowly let my thoughts slip to the back, as clairs thoughts slip to the front, what it ultimately feels like is my mind running off of her thoughts, which makes the body feel as if it's on auto-pilot, except it's far more intelligent and capable of mannerisms and such that i don't do under normal circumstances
Avatar
You are simply not in primary control of the body, your tulpa is.
Avatar
Deleted User 4/10/2018 8:36 PM
Oh
8:36 PM
so does your tulpa make decisions for you?
Avatar
"You" haven't gone off anywhere. if you "go to the wonderland", you are effectively daydreaming while your tulpa moves.
Avatar
Deleted User 4/10/2018 8:36 PM
like to move your hand?
Avatar
...yes, because at the time, it is effectively 'their body'.
Avatar
Deleted User 4/10/2018 8:37 PM
wow
8:37 PM
so if you go to your wonderland
8:37 PM
your tulpa
8:37 PM
is still moving
8:37 PM
and doing things
Avatar
Yes, though keep in mind that the brain has finite capability.
8:37 PM
It likely won't be the same as if you were to daydream normally.
Avatar
I don't believe people actually go to wonderland during this. It makes more sense to me that the mind just generates memories when they are called back to attention.

oh
8:38 PM
so were do you go
Avatar
bduddy #Diana# 4/10/2018 8:38 PM
you don't actually go anywhere.
Avatar
Deleted User 4/10/2018 8:38 PM
so you'r enot seeing everything realtime
8:38 PM
it
8:38 PM
just not you doing anything
8:38 PM
but your utlpa
Avatar
bduddy #Diana# 4/10/2018 8:38 PM
you might be able to imagine yourself somewhere. Again, there are a lot of different answers for this.
Avatar
Deleted User 4/10/2018 8:39 PM
oh
8:39 PM
so what does it feel like when the tulpa is in control
8:39 PM
is it like your numb?
Avatar
It feels no different physically.
Avatar
The actions feel involuntary but it's not like you're going to get a tingling sensation or something to go along with it.
Avatar
Deleted User 4/10/2018 8:41 PM
oh ok
8:41 PM
so what should I do to start making a tulpa
8:41 PM
I read the guide
8:41 PM
Introduction Why you should NOT create a tulpa, and things to consider: Concepts Mindset The Creation Process Conclusion Introduction   I will warn you now that this will be very lengthy, but for those of you here to learn about tulpas and how...
8:41 PM
but it doesn't explain that well the overall steps
Avatar
bduddy #Diana# 4/10/2018 8:41 PM
imagine them, as simple or as complex as you'd like. Then start talking to them (in your head).
8:41 PM
That's really all there is to it.
Avatar
I have a general two-step process that works.
Avatar
Deleted User 4/10/2018 8:42 PM
i'd just like to start
8:42 PM
now
Avatar
Yes. Talking to them and providing them with attention is key. Then when they are well enough to be vocal, let them talk to other's.
Avatar
1. Use a 'focal point' of sorts, such as a name.
Avatar
My method meditating while listening to binaural beats.
8:42 PM
Or a ball of light.
Avatar
That works as well.
Avatar
Names can come later.
Avatar
Something you can directly address.
8:43 PM
2. Give them experience, whether it is speaking to them, showing them the world around you, eventually allowing them to use the body or talk to other people, etc.
Avatar
They can, but this allows you to isolate this segment and speak to them clearer.
Avatar
That will develop them as an independent entity.
8:43 PM
I suggest using a name, even a temporary one, as it does make it eaiser to speak to them - saying "hey you" does get old after awhile.
Avatar
You should speak to your tulpa as if they’re already there.
Avatar
That is helpful, yes.
8:45 PM
Though being aware that they aren't fully capable of talking yet is a good thing.
Avatar
just have to say, it's better to try and find underlying themes when it comes to guides and advice concerning creating a tulpa, there's a fair amount of "icing" that works better for some people than others
8:46 PM
what bari said helped me alot, personally* (edited)
Avatar
What I outlined is the basic idea of how to make a tulpa, without any additional fluff.
Avatar
Symbolism can be pretty useful as well. You could envision filling something with life.
Avatar
You can make up whatever symbolism helps you.
Avatar
Anything that helps you stay focused and engaged.
Avatar
I don't suggest this, but isolation from other people did aid in my creation. It meant my host had no one else to speak to, so he would talk to me constantly.
Avatar
Losing focus tends to lead to frustration.
Avatar
lack of distractions does help, like harleen said
Avatar
Deleted User 4/10/2018 8:49 PM
So I should just start talking to them
8:49 PM
in my head
8:49 PM
with no reason
8:49 PM
response*
Avatar
pretty much
8:50 PM
pretty much about anything and everything, though i'd avoid burning yourself out on it
Avatar
bduddy #Diana# 4/10/2018 8:51 PM
but, you know, be listening for responses, too. One day they will come.
Avatar
Deleted User 4/10/2018 8:52 PM
damn
8:52 PM
how long did it take you guys to get responses
Avatar
Variable.
Avatar
bduddy #Diana# 4/10/2018 8:52 PM
me? about 3 months. But don't go off of what anyone else says.
8:52 PM
it could be tomorrow, it could be a year.
8:53 PM
and I wasn't very consistent with the talking.
Avatar
First responses are commonly within the first few months - but exceptions are common, and it gets less consistent time-wise from there.
8:54 PM
More important than 'time' is the amount of effort and the efficacy of what you are doing.
